Happy Halloween

Halloween 2008. Carson was just one year old and was Mickey Mouse. Madison was two and was Minnie Mouse. We had fun matching the kids.
Carson just one month old. He was the cutest pumpkin. Can't wait for Jackson to wear the same outfit tonight so we can get some pictures.

The Duo

Hard to tell from the picture but Madison, age 1, was a lady bug

Madi's first Halloween, a little kitty, too cute

I was looking back over some pictures from previous Halloweens and couldn't resist posting about how much my children have changed and grown. It is hard to believe that I am the mother of three beautiful children, they bless me each day and I am so thankful for them. We have had fun carving pumpkins, finger painting with orange paint, reading fall and Halloween stories, going to the pumpkin patch and talking about fall. This will be the first year that we actually go "trick or treaking" Last year we maybe went to five houses and that was too much. Now the kids are bigger and will start to enjoy it. I know how my children have sweet teeth. Mommy is going to need to hide the candy before we go home or they will want to eat it ALL. This year we are dressing up as a doctor (Madison), Firefighter (Carson) and a Pumpkin for the littlest Sly.

So Proud!!

Tonight marks the third night that Carson has gone to sleep without coming out of his bed to come visit us. We decided that he needed to transfer to his twin bed so Jackson could use the crib and it was going horribly until my wonderful husband suggested that we make the crib a toddler bed and let him sleep there for a couple of weeks then let him sleep in his twin bed. At first I thought I would have another Madison, the first two night he kept coming out saying "me get out!!" so Scott would go in and lay with him in his twin bed until he went to sleep. He has laid down now on his own and has not come out of his bed. Scott threatened that if he came out that he could not sleep with his Thomas train and he must have believed us because he is sound asleep without even attempting to come out. I am so proud of my little boy, he has big shoes to fill to grow up so fast so that Jackson can be the baby. Jackson has been sleeping through the night now for about 6 weeks so it is time he get used to the crib. My boys are both growing up so fast, makes me a little sad but happy that they are all doing so well. Now if Madi would go to bed alone and in her own bed at bedtime life would be great. So proud of my little Carson!!

The Big Fresno Fair

We took the kids to the fail and saw all sorts of good stuff. We saw lots of baby animals, we ate corndogs, and cinnamon rolls, we played in the play area, looked at the exhibits and had a really good time. The best part of it all was it was free. We went on a free night and although it was crowded we had a good time.

Carson's Birthday Party

We had such a great time last week for Carson's birthday. We spent the afternoon at Hillcrest Tree Farms. We rode the train, ate pizza, played in the treehouse, and picked out some pumpkins to take home. Carson was such a good little boy and did not want to get off the train. We finally had to get him off so we could do cake and presents so we could go home for a much needed and deserved nap. We love Hillcrest, it is such a small little place, but so much fun. Thanks to everyone who made it a special day. Happy 2nd birthday to my little man. We love you so much!!

Fresno Metropolitian Museum

We spent the afternoon with the kids and decided to take the cousins to see the Bob the Builder Exhibit at the museum. They all had fun and was worth the trip. They also had an exhibit with golf balls that the kids loved to play with. We need to really do more stuff like this, was a blast and an affordable outing.

Soccer time

Madison started soccer today. Her first game will officially be next week but she had fun today with her team and we are looking forward to watching her team play. Go Yellow Team!!

Happy Birthday Bubba

My little Carson is now officially two. He has grown up so much this past year. It is hard to believe he is actually 2. Here are just a few of the many things I love about my boy:

  • He is incredibly funny and says the cutest things.. Here are some of my favorite...

"ahhh, come on!"

"check it out"

"Fasin (Madison) where are you!

"cool dude"

"come here Jackson, I love you"

"Enough!!" not the cutest but definately most expressive when Jackson is crying in the car!

  • He LOVES trains, Thomas is our best friend these days. We can't leave home without him.

  • He is so independent and wants to do everything by himself, but at times needs his mommy to just hold him so he can be small.

  • He loves his sister and brother more than words can describe

  • He loves our cat Tommy and loves to chase him around the house and pet him
  • When he wakes up happy he says the cutest things and has a smile on his face, often telling us he had a good sleep!
  • He loves to play outside and swing and slide!
  • He loves to do projects with his sister (paint, playdough, drawing, coloring) and play with her. Sweet little boy even gets to play makeup and dress up with his sister. She needs a sister, ha ha.
  • He is so easy going and fun to be around, he brightens my days!

Love you Carson, Happy Second birthday. We love you
