We went to a Halloween Party with my Aunt and Uncle and had a great time. The kids got to dress up and have a blast. There was a live band which meant kids dancing all over the place. It was a beautiful evening (warm). Someone please remind me of that next year. I always pick costumes for the kids that are made out of fleece and are soooo hot! My boys naturally are warm to begin with so needless to say they didn't put on their costumes until the end of the evening, but had fun anyways.
Single Palm Pumpkin Patch
Here Carson is hiding behind the cornstalk. I almost couldn't find him.
Jackson even got in on our game.

Ready or not here I come
Feeding the animals. Surprisingly they all jumped right in and got in there. I thought they may be reserved, but nope they LOVE farm animals. Dogs are a whole other story
Too cute
Climbing the hay pyramid
Madi and Lily enjoying a story from Grandma Witch. Carson wanted nothing to do with story time.
Lily pulled both kids, what a strong girl.
The crew. Not the best picture but the only one with all of the kids. I adopted Lily for the day to share in the excitement. People who do not know our family would think that she is one of my own children. She fits right in and is always joining us for our adventures. She was a great help pulling the wagon full of pumpkins.
Lily picked a great pumpkin, the biggest of all.
Madi posing by her pumpkin.
Carson attempting to cut his pumpkin
Yeah for the tractor hay ride
I found a wonderful little country pumpkin patch to take the kids to this year. We had a wonderful time. We took a ride on the hay tractor ride and got a lesson on pumpkin flowers. Madison can tell you all about boy flowers and girl flowers. We listened to Grandma Witch tell stories, we picked the pumpkins out of the patch and even had to cut them off the vine ourselves (This was Carson's favorite thing to do and was sad at the end of our adventure to have to give the pumpkin carving knife back). We fed the horses, sheep, and the pig named "Nacho". We took turns swinging on the tire swing, played hide and seek in the corn maze. (The owner of the farm said their corn didn't grow too well this year so it made hide and seek easy since you could see over the stalks), climbed on the hay pyramid and saw some of our good friends. We had a great time and made some wonderful memories. Everyone had a great time.

Momma's 10K
Carson and Mommy
Mommy with her two big kids, Madison did not want to hug me because I was "wet", she continued to smell me to see if I was stinky... LOVE
My friend, Tanya, and I took on the challenge together. I wish I would have been faster and we could have kept up, hopefully for the half marathon we can stick together. It was rewarding to see her standing there clapping and cheering me on for the last bit of the race before the finish line.

I may be the only one looking at the camera, but these are three of the reasons that I want to be healthy and run. I want to be able to be healthy so I can live long to take care of my family.
I ran the Cross City Race on Sunday and was happy to finish in less time than I had anticipated. I started out a little weak due to finishing off a big gatorade maybe fifteen minutes before the race. My body does better with water and with room temperature at that. 6.3 miles is a long way to run when you have to use the restroom. I should have gone before the race, but didn't feel the need. There were times I felt like I needed to walk just so I would not pee my pants. I was proud of finishing in 1:08. I anticipated finishing in 1:15. This was a good training race for the Half Marathon coming up next month. I have a month to get prepared and ready for the big 13.1 mile run. It was uplifting to see my husband, inlaws and children waiting for me at the finish line.

Happy Birthday Carson!
Labor Day FIshing Trip
We thought it would be fun to get out of Fresno and escape to our favorite mountain getaway, Dinkey Creek. We attempted to go fishing but there was no water so we practiced casting and reeling. That was good enough for Carson. He was pretty good at casting once he figured it out. Jackson was content playing in the pack and play.
Zoo Fun
If Madison had to pick any goat to visit at the petting zoo, this one would be it. This is Patty, the 15 year old goat at the petting zoo. Madison has always been drawn to this goat and now every time we go she asks for him by name. I think it is cute that she will pet goats and sheep but won't come close to a dog.

Our attempt to get a group shot.
We had the opportunity to visit the zoo before school started with our cousins. What fun we have when we have the opportunity to get together. It is nice having family with kids so close in age. There are always fun things to learn at the zoo, glad we became members and can go all year.
