My loving husband bought me a new sewing machine for my birthday and I am ashamed to say that I haven't used it until last weekend. I decided that I needed to make Jackson some more bibs. It was a time consuming project but I enjoyed it and will be making many more projects in the near future. Now to Joannes to get the Velcro so I can actually use the bibs... that is the next step. Stay tuned for my future projects.

My little dancer
Madi started her first dance class last month at Break the Barriers and has done quite well. I was a little nervous the way soccer went (She hated it and cried to be with her Mommy) but dance has been quite the opposite. She stays with her class and participates quite well. They do ballet for the first forty minutes and tap the last 20 minutes. She is so darling to see dance around. I am looking forward to her first recital in May. They are going to do a musical instead of the traditional recital and all the classes will have a dance number in the musical. Get ready world, Madison is going to be a little pink snake. I saw the costumes and they are absolutely adorable. Might be the cutest snake in town?
Bowling Birthday Party
Birthday princess enjoying her cupcake! Oh the faces she makes.
Hanging out with the girls

She was thanking everyone for her presents, she sure knows how to get a message across!
Madi celebrated her 4th birthday at the CSUFbowling alley with her family and friends. We had a blast and the kids did quite well with bowling. Madi and Carson both used the ramp and the bumpers and had fun in the process, sad to say I think I tied Madi without the bumpers. The party was a little crazy and sure was hot in the bowling alley but everyone enjoyed themselves. We ate pizza, cake and opened presents before all was over. She got so many nice presents and loves everyone of them. Little does she know all of her new art stuff is stashed away in the locked cabinet. Yes I have to lock up the art supplies and scissors in my house or else Madi would not do anything else. Happy Birthday to my little princess, you are getting so big!

Daddy is so content to just watch us play. He takes good care of us.

Riding rides at the boardwalk
Carson loved riding the cave train, probably rode 4 times.
Madi wanted to dig a hole to sit in, but the rate she was digging, we would still be there. She LOVES to dig the most of all the kids. She kept begging us to go the beach.

Carson too!
My cousin was in town visiting from Missouri and wanted to take a trip to the beach. We decided to head over to Santa Cruz for the weekend. We were expecting rain and I really didn't think we would have much fun in the rain but thought we would give it a try. We rented a beach house, and that made a big difference. We were able to have some space and the kids could play without being cooped up in a hotel room. We were able to save some money by cooking a dinner and all of our breakfasts at the house. When we arrived the weather was nice, cloudy but not wet so we didn't waste any time and went to the beach to dig in the sand. Nice part was being able to walk and it only took us probably 2-3 minutes. We played for a short time, then decided it would be best to head back, kids were getting cold. We played around the house and then went to the pier for dinner and to hang out. The kids were just loving watching the sea lions. I was touched and actually got a little emotional watching a family of otters take care of their baby otter. It was touching to see them all helping the baby swim. The next day we went to the boardwalk, were able to walk there as well and the kids had fun. After the boardwalk = a much needed nap. We cooked dinner and relaxed in the hottub for the evening. We went to have lunch one more time on the pier, dig more in the sand and finally were able to come home and get back to our routines. Love getting away, but it sure is a lot of work getting put back together and ready for a new week.
Much needed rest?
Jackson was really sick with RSV in February and has not been the same since. He
has been so spoiled and will not sleep in his crib. Mommy and Daddy have tried everything to get him to go to sleep, but he has been putting up quite the little protest. We replaced the batteries in the swing thinking that might help, nope he screamed for a half hour in there as well. Mommy's patience is running very thin. Tonight Daddy put him in the swing so he could help get kids tucked in bed and he fell asleep. He fell asleep sitting up and I was not about to move him. Hopefully tonight will go smoothly and he will sleep soundly in the swing. What does that mean for Mommy? I will be asleep on the floor but at least he will be rested.
