Jackson is here!!

Look at that cute boy!
Mommy and here three cuties! I can't believe I have three now!

Our famiy is now complete. The 5 Slys

All dressed and ready to come home!

Jackson William joined our family on July 28th (due date) at 3:05 pm. He weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. He had a fairly easy delivery, fast and speedy. We were admitted to the hospital and less than 2 hours later had a baby. He has been so easy, doesn't fuss much and is a good sleeper and eater. Mommy and Jackson are happy to be home with Daddy, Madison and Carson. Madison is just crazy about Jackson, she definately is in love. Carson doesn't really seem to care too much. He acknowledges that he is there but isn't too engaged. He would rather be playing with a train somewhere. Although our house is a little hectic I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Now if I could just learn to relax, sit down and stop working life would be better. I just can't stand a mess and I need to realize that with a brand new baby and two other small children in the house there will be messes. Life is good we are enjoying each other.

My little Bubba

Carson has definately become the train man lately. This afternoon we were at Aunt Mel's and after his nap he woke up and Joel decided that he would set up his GeoTrax for him. He loved it and had a blast. Recently he was been really whiney and clingy for his Mommy and can honestly become tiring after a little while but just watching him play with what he loves the most (trains) is rewarding. He is getting so big, we love him so much. I do have a feeling he is going to make us broke with his train addiction.

A fun day with cousins

Parker snoozing
Alyssa chillin in the bouncy chair (don't know what the line is across her face) but she is an absolute doll!!
Compare those thighs. Sorry Alyssa you got nothing on Parker's beefcake thighs

Madi was taking such good care of Alyssa, always checking on her and playing with her, it was too cute!

We had the opportunity to spend one day last week with little Alyssa (My brother's beautiful daughter). We had fun with her and she is so easy. Kristi brought Parker over and we just hung out and played with all the kids. The little ones would not sleep hardly all day, my children are just too loud. The house was definately loud, but full of love. I really enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews. Really made me think what this household will be like with another baby??????? Hope he can learn to cope and sleep through all the chaos.

Cute things they say

Today Madison was sitting next to her brother and looked at Carson and told him, "Brother, I want to keep you, I don't want to throw you away in the trash." When I asked her why she said that she said that she is getting a new brother but does not want to throw Bubba away. I had to explain that she can have 2 brothers. If anyone sees Madison trying to throw Carson in the trash help her to understand she can have 2 brothers.

3 weeks (or less hopefully!!)

I am officially 37 weeks pregnant as of yesterday which means baby boy could be joining us anytime. I am excited, nervous and anxious all at the same time but know that our life will be blessed again with another little baby to take care of. Madison and Carson will be too cute with their new baby brother. Just hope they leave him alone so he can do what babies do best... sleep!

Blackbeards Fun!!!

We took the kids miniature golfing last night and they had fun. Madison was trying to actually hit the balls while Carson was happy just to pick up all the balls and throw them around. He was picking up everone's balls and putting them in the holes. They were fun and the weather wasn't too hot so that made it better. Here is to fun times with family before our new baby comes.

a day in the mountains!!

We brought the sand toys thinking we would be on the beach, but hey sand toys are great for dirt too...
Look at the dirty face,

The girls were making a birthday cake tower for Joel's birthday

Just having fun cruising around camp

Scott was helping Madi roast her first marshmallow. Yum Yum!!

The girls absolutely love each other. Madison is just like the little sister Lily always wanted.

Maybe one of the last family photos before our little Jackson joins our family.

such a cutie

The people down below are the Harris Family, except for Mel. Al was trying to catch one of the 11 fish that he could see and the kids were playing. Dinkey Creek is great, we love coming here. I think Al is getting frustrated that he can't catch the fish but can see them.

The face says it all!! He was so exhausted. He actually doesn't look too dirty here but was absolutely covered from head to toe in dirt. Gotta love boys!

We had great plans to spend the day at Shaver Lake with family. We were going to have a picnic lunch and a barbeque dinner and play in the lake, at sundown we were going to enjoy the fireworks that are launched over the lake. Plans changed, there was no beach at Shaver, the water was so high and it was way too crowded. We decided to go to our usual hangout in Dinkey Creek and play there for the day. What a good idea! We had lunch, watched kids play in the water, watched Uncle Al attempt to catch a fish and just relaxed. The kids were absolutely perfect (except Carson didn't want to eat anything but m&m's) and had a blast. We didn't get to see the fireworks over the lake, but had fun regardless. The kids were so exhausted and absolutely crashed on the drive home. I was a little apprehensive to be so far away from Kaiser Hospital in case something happened and I needed to see the doctor but things ended up being OK. I was having contractions on the way up, I think from the bumpy off road excursion to try to get a place to park at the lake. Happy to be home, and I think kids were happy to get into their beds. Now tomorrow morning we will have to bathe them and change their bedding due to all the dirt, but hey it can wait till morning!!

Playing in the heat!!

Lily and Madi!! They couldn't even wait to change their clothes, just jumped right in!!
Carson looks so grumpy in this picture but really he was chanting "water". He is such an expressive little boy.

This past week was so incredibly hot that we couldn't resist playing in the water. The kids enjoy the little pool and are such a joy when they are playing together.

Madi's swim lessons

practicing her kicking skills!!
My little fish

Before lessons she was always so happy!!

Madison finished her 2 weeks of swim lessons. I can't say that she is actually swimming, but definately loved being there and had fun playing in the pool. Next year I think I will do individual lessons. This year she was in a group with three other kids and all the kids were so busy that nobody really made much progress. She enjoyed her teacher and had fun with her friend Riley.
