Happy Fathers Day Daddy! We love you!

Madison loving the cupcake!

I thought swinging only put infants to sleep, I was wrong. He was swinging for about 20 minutes before he crashed and just went to sleep. My little baby boy is growing up, but has a little baby left in him I guess. Love you Bubba!

The train man with train in hand at the train museum

Over the weekend we had the opportunity to travel to the Sacramento area to visit with family. The kids were pretty well behaved and I think they enjoyed their visit. We spent the day on Saturday at the park celebrating Morgan's first birhtday. Sunday (Father's Day) we spent the day in Old Town Sacramento and driving home. I sure love my famiy and am glad we got to get away. That will be the last time in a while for us to get away.

Baby Jackson update

I had my doctor appointment today (35 weeks tomorrow) and much to my surprise I am 1-2 cm. dialated and 50% effaced. It is too early to have a baby. I remember I was 34 weeks when Madison came into our lives and had to stay in the hospital for almost 2 weeks, we arent' ready for that so here is to keeping the little guy in a little longer to continue cooking. Scary!!! Doctor said he would try to get me to 36 weeks (Next Tuesday) then all is fair game. Scary because I still have a lot to do to get ready. Guess this week I need to pack my hospital bag and wash the carseat and get prepared to welcome our little man into our lives, until then we will be patiently waiting and getting ready. Ready or not here comes our little man. Maybe we will be keeping up the tradition of having our babies on the last day of the month, June is coming to an end soon. Wish us luck, we will need it.

Pictures

I had a great idea to take some pictures of the kids while they are still a duo. I wanted a couple pics with them since this will be my last pregnancy and while I do not like looking like a cow I wanted to capture the moment. Well lets see Madison was adorable, cooperative and easy. Carson was absolutely a wreck. He screamed the entire time, would not let me put him down and was just a mess. We got a couple pics of him but he had tears in his eyes and was not happy. We decided to reschedule the booking for later in the week and we would try again. Well we are getting all loaded up in the car and Madison starts screaming. She was standing in a red ant hill and they were all over her. She was crawling up in her carseat when I noticed and could not get to her fast enough before they totally swarmed and attacked her. She has soooo many ant bites and is very uncomfortable because they itch and are so swollen. So the pictures were a wreck but here are a few of the little princess. We will be getting together again Thursday evening so hopefully we will have pics to post soon of the three of us. Next time we will be getting out of the country and are going to the park.

6 more weeks!!

Well the time is getting closer, I can't believe I will be holding another baby in my arms in 6 weeks, or less (Hopefully in about 4 weeks would be great). We started getting ready. I washed all his clothes, blankets, burpies, etc. and put them away. That was a major task considering that Carson already had the closet and dresser full of his clothes. We bought some newborn diapers. Here is the list of what I still need to do:

  • put pack-n-play together in the living room
  • wash the bouncy chair and swing
  • wash the basinet bedding and set up in our room
  • pick out what he will be wearing home
  • pack hospital bag
  • clean and sanitize our home (ongoing daily feat)
  • cook some meals and freeze in the freezer.

I am sure there are a lot more things that I need to do but these are my goals for the next 2 weeks.

Wish me luck.

Here is a cute video of Mema and Madison playing in the ocean. She was having so much fun. Sorry for the quality, but I took the videos from my regular camera. Enjoy!!

Madison playing on the walkway at the beach, she has a thing for jumping.

for you Auntie

Aunt Kristi has a tshirt that she made in Kindergarten many years ago and tonight while cleaning out the closet I found it and thought it would be fun to have Madison wear it and take a picture for Aunt Kristi. She absolutely adores you Kristi and can't get enough of you. She wanted to keep the shirt on all night but I talked her into wearing her pajamas to bed instead.

A relaxing weekend at the beach

Love taking pics of my beautiful princess, she was posing for me and just gotta love the smile.

Wierd, yes but every year when we go to Cambria we see and hear the wild turkeys gobbling around the neighborhood. We were out on a walk and came across the turkeys.

Mommy and Madison at Moonstone Beach

Kristi, Melissa, Steph, Stacey and Madison

walking along Moonstone Beach walkway, she didn't walk much, but rather hopped around a lot. She must be bunny inspired.

It only looks like we went to the beach. Really we were playing at the playground where it wasn't as windy. But hey, sand is sand, right. Madison didn't seem to mind. Anyone know how to get her to smile a real smile please let me know.

Mema and Madison playing in the waves, brrrr.... She got all wet, but didn't seem to mind a bit.

She had so much fun running from the waves. She was not the least bit reserved on this trip. She let it all out and had a blast. Mema has so much energy it was nice because all of my energy has been zapped.

Madison and Big Momma.

Madison and Mommy went on a girls retreat to Cambria with the girls. Mema, Aunt Kristi, Aunt Stacey, Stacey's friend Melissa and baby Parker went to Cambria for the weekend. The weather was cool and windy, but a much needed change from the hot Fresno weather. We ate at my favorite restaurant, Splash; went shopping at the outlets, relaxed, watched movies, took a long walk along Moonstone Beach, tried to play on the beach in Avila, but it was way to windy. We had an awesome trip and Madison was just a doll. She was entertaining everyone jumping around and being silly. We sure are blessed to have such a wonderful family and so many people that love us.

next month

Well not that it is officially June we can say that we are having a baby next month. We have a lot to do and I am looking forward to getting things ready for Jackson's arrival. We need to sort through Carson's clothes and wash some clothes for our new baby boy. I need to make room in Carson's room for another cute lil' boy. I can't wait to meet our little prince and hold him in our arms. I am not nervous at all about how Maddie and Carson will handle the new one. They both love babies and are going to just fall in love and be good helpers. Carson loves to kiss his cousin Parker and Maddie loves to help change his diapers, give him binkies and love him. She is too cute the way that she talks to him. They are going to be good big brother and sister. The only thing that worries me is having enough energy to keep up with them all. Scott is good with helping and will be wonderful to entertain the kids once Jackson arrives. Until then we just wait and try to cope with heartburn. That is one thing that I will not miss.
