Rodeo Parade

Kimberly, Riley, Lily, Madison and Madison.

We met our friends and watched the Rodeo parade on Saturday morning. All 5 girls had fun playing together. Carson was very content pushing his train around. He got excited to see the trucks and cars, anything with wheels. He was happy when he saw the "airpane". The parade was almost 2 hours long but we survived the whole thing.

Water Fun

I just love this picture. What a happy girl!

Last week was so warm and we decided to play like it was summer. We set up the sprinkler and before we could change the kids they were in there in their clothes. They had so much fun. Madison more than Carson. Carson loved the water, but didn't like if it was over his head. He would get wet and not know how to escape. Madison was just having fun being a kid.

I can't believe it

I can't believe I am starting my third trimester of this pregnancy already. We only have three months (or less) before little Jackson joins our family. We have so much to do to get ready for his arrival. Time goes by so quickly. I am a little sad because this will be our last pregnancy, but happy that our family is growing again. There are babies all over and once again one will be joining our home.

That's my girl

My little girl went to the dentist and as she was leaving her hygenist let her pick something from the treasure box. I knew my girl would choose the cheesy "real" makeup. She has eyeshadow in about six different colors, but as you can see blue is her favorite color. I should have taken a picture of me, I was blue as well. Raising girls is fun!

First Pony Ride!!

Anyone that knows Madison knows that she just adores and loves horses. Well this morning I asked Madison if she wanted to go on a pony ride at Vintage Days and it is all she could talk about for at least thirty minutes. We met Aunt Kristi, Aunt Sandy, and Mema at Vintage Days and as soon as we ate lunch she was wanting to know if she could ride the horsies. We found the pony rides and she was very happy to get to see the horses and as soon as it was all over she told me she wanted to do it again. I feel like she is starting to come out of her shell a little bit. She has always been a little shy and reserved, but today nothing was going to stop her from riding the ponies.

Easter

Our Easter is not what I had planned, Carson woke up in the middle of the night sick with the flu so we stayed home and relaxed all day. Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Bob came over in the morning to have breakfast / brunch. We played with our Easter basket goodies, played games, played outside and just hung out around the house. Grandma was nice to cook us Easter dinner and deliver it to us so we didn't have to cook. Thank you Grandma. I am so sorry Bubbs that you weren't feeling up to celebrating. Just hope you get better soon.

I was remembering how last year Madison was sick, vomiting and fever, and now this year it was Carson. I am starting to think that we are cursed. Hopefully next year will be a happy healthy Easter!

Easter Saturday

She wanted to cross the cattle guard all by herself and although I was nervous she did it. She told me she could do it becuase she was three now!

Carson's first (and only) Easter Egg Hunt. He missed the one on Easter because he was sick.

We celebrated Easter on Saturday with my side of the family. We went up to my Uncle Greg's house and had a bbq. We walked around, played outside, took walks to see their horse and cows and just relaxed with family. Madison was so worn out that she fell asleep when we left around 5:30 and didn't wake up until 6:30 the following morning. Carson was grumpier than usual, which now I now why. He got the flu later that night so probably just wasn't feeling well. We had fun and enjoyed seeing the family.

Dyeing Easter Eggs!!!

No he is not eating the dye, just plain boring water.

We had fun dyeing Easter Eggs tonight. Tonight was Carson's first attempt to dye easter eggs. He was very in tune with what was going on. He kept saying "Wow" as Mommy helped him stir his egg and take them out of the dye. The only problem was he wanted to eat it, saying "bite". And of course didn't want Mommy to help him so we decided to give him a cracked egg in a cup of just plain water and he was in heaven. He managed to play without making a huge mess and had fun. He even learned a new word, "egg". Madison said she wants to do more. I thought three dozen would be enough, but she wants to do some more. We have more dye so we may get more eggs and dye them just for fun.

The Harris' garden

We went over to Aunt Mel's today to help them plant their garden. The kids had fun playing in the dirt and making holes in the dirt. Carson wasn't too patient so he didn't stay out too long before taking a nap, Madi had fun putting the seeds in the ground and playing with the little shovel. We hope your garden turns out well Auntie Mel. Good Luck!

Finally she is feeling better

Madison has had the flu for the last two days and finally today I feel like I have my life back. She was so sick and as she says "spitting up" Tuesday and Wednesday. She thought she was special because she got to lay on the couch all day long and watch whatever she wanted on TV. We have watched so many Mickey Mouse Clubhouses that I think I can sing all the songs and know every word to the five saved on our DVR. She would fall asleep often on the couch. So glad she is doing better and feels better. I thought it was cute Madi was on the couch and Carson comes running into my bathroom where I was getting ready yelling "sissy sissy" I didn't know what he meant but I came out and "sissy" was getting sick on the couch. He was coming to tell me she was getting sick. He sure loves his sister.

Looking back 2 years

She loved shaking the eggs and hearing the money inside.

I couldn't resist posting pics of Madison on Easter 2 years ago. I find it hard to remember what life was like 2 years ago with only one child. You are loved Madi!!

Where has the year gone???

Madison with her sick little face. She was so sick last Easter, we ended up in the emergency room with uncontrollable fevers. She looks so little here to me. My little princess is getting big.
My boy (about 6 months old). I have seen Carson become such a funny little boy lately and he makes me proud to be his Mommy. When did I have a chubby faced little boy? I don't remember those cheeks.

I have been thinking about how fast time goes. The kids are getting so big I was looking at some pictures tonight and couldn't help but think about how fast a year has gone. Last Easter seemed like just around the corner. And to think that next Easter is just around the next corner. If it weren't for pictures I do not think I would have so many memories.

California Adventure

California Adventure was a blast. It was so hot on Monday and the kids were so content to play in the water. Mommy wasn't too excited to have them play in the water because I knew they would be soaking wet but seeing them have fun was priceless. I just figured we would buy them a new outfit and be on our way home. We didn't stay too long but had fun regardless.

Disneyland!

Carson was so cute waiting for Casey Jr. he kept standing there just yelling choo choo and waving also.

Can you see the fear in Madison's eyes. She so badly wanted to go see Minnie, but was afraid at the same time.

We had so much fun at Disneyland on Sunday. The kids were both very well behaved. I would this is Carson's first trip where he really knew what was going on and knew what he wanted to do. He loved the trains (Casey Jr. being his favorite) and the airplanes (rockets and Dumbo). He was so cute to see talking about what was going on. Madison loved Pooh and Autotopia. Disneylnad was a long day, we lasted until about 10:30.

He is 1 1/2

18 months have already passed since we brought our baby boy home. We went to his doctor appointment today. He only weighs 23 pounds (Morgan have you caught up yet??). He is in the 20th percentile for weight, 50th for height (33 inches) and 80th for head circumference. He is developing into such a sweet boy and is just starting to talk up a storm. He is so smart and we can't imagine our lives without him. He brings laughter and joy to our lives.

Outdoor adventures

Madison got a swing set for her birthday and just loves to play outside now. We are out there every night after we get home from work and just love watching our kids having fun. Carson loves to slide and Madison loves to climb up into the fort and slide as well as swing. Many thanks to everyone who contributed cash to help pay for her swingset. Hope we can find a rental where we can take our swing set, if not that is OK. Our little girl is growing up and is becoming such a sweet little girl. Love you baby girl!

FOR SALE!!

We are listing our house and putting it on the market tomorrow. We have come to the point in our lives where we just can't afford the payment anymore and the bank is lying to us and taking back their promise to modify our loan so we have decided to shortsale our home. We are listing it for 150,000. So sad considering we paid almost 300,000 but we need to let it go. I will be sad to leave because this is the home we brought our babies home to and the house where all the memories were made with our kids growing up. We are hoping to be out of here before we bring home our new baby. Anyone who knows me knows that I have a hard time keeping my house decluttered and clean (embarassed to say) but we have worked so hard and can't believe how different and clean our house looks, it is not the same place. It will be a challenge to make sure it is clean and tidy at all times.

Storyland / Playland

We took the kids to Storyland on Saturday and the kids just loved it. I felt a little guilty for not teaching my kids all the nursery rhymes but hey they knew some of them. Madison was rewarded for sleeping in her own bed without her mommy or Daddy. She is doing so well (most nights) and needed a reward. We walked around Storyland, then rode the train to Playland. Carson just loved it. He loves any automobile, train, car, truck, airplane but was so excited to be ON the train. He laughed and said "Choo Choo and All aboard" for the first five minutes, then just was looking around. Madison got to choose one ride at playland. Wish we could have stayed longer but the time was approaching 1:00 and we needed to get some lunch and take naps so we only stayed at Playland for about 20 minutes.
