She's THREE

Today is Madison birthday and she is so happy to be three. She is growing so quickly and is developing into a sweet little girl. She talks and talks and talks. She loves to talk on the phone to her aunt Kristi. She would talk for hours if I let her. She loves to do everything that Mommy does. Today we are going to go for girly manicures, she can't wait and tomorrow we are having her birthday party. She wants to have a lollipop princess party so that is what we are doing. Hope it doesn't rain at the park.
Here is to another fun filled year Madison, you are a sweet girl and Mommy loves you.

My baby boy is all grown up

Well I have come to the realization that my baby boy is no longer a baby but a curious toddler. He loves to get into everything and is curious about the world. He thinks he can do anything and will do anything. He is starting to really talk and is a crack up to watch play. Here are some of the cute things that we love to watch him do and say.
  • He LOVES fish. He looks into Daddy's fish tank and repeatedly says pretty
  • He LOVES to turn the lights on and off
  • He LOVES to play with his cars. He pushes them all around the house and makes the car sounds to go with the motions. He has his own personal parking garage in his closet and yes he filled the shelf (all 8 feet) with pushable cars and they don't all fit.
  • he LOVES to slide, inside or outside he loves to say go go go and we know that means he wants to slide.
  • he LOVES to play on the couch and climb on everything.
  • here are some of the cute things he says "up, down, more, fishhhhh, pretty, go, bye bye, eat, gaga (Grandma), papa, mama, dada, car, uh-oh, all done, bubbles. I am sure there are more but these are his usuals.

Shampooey

We officially have a new child in our family. Her name is Shampooey and she is one of Madison's many babies. You may wonder why the name Shampooey, trust me I had not part in the naming process but Madison loves to take showers and baths with her and wash her hair so that is how we came up with the name. When we take baths at home we now have to bathe three kids at the same time. She even needs her own jammies, own towel and yes a diaper. It is cute to see her taking care of her baby with such gentle ease and the conversations between the two are adorable as well. If you ever want to know how you communicate with their kids just listen to them talk to their dolls or animals.

Painting for Shelby

We thought it would be fun to paint a picture and send to Shelby who has been sick. Madison kept asking about Shelby when she was painting and had a fun time painting, as always. She is my artist and loves to color and paint. I do admit it is a mess but well worth it to see her so happy. Hope you are feeling better Shelby, we love you!

They are starting to play with each other

Madison and Carson are just starting to enjoy playing with each other. Carson in the past has been screaming anytime Madison comes around, he enjoys his solitary play, but the last couple days I have caught them playing together with smiles on their faces. I hope as they get older they continue to play nicely together, but I don't think that is going to bee too possible. Anytime

Madison is playing with something or doing something Carson usually pitches a fit becuase he wants the same thing. We need to start buying everything in twos just so Mommy doesn't have to hear the screaming.

Parker Stephen

Here is a picture of litte Parker Boles. He is too adorable. This was taken the day they came home from the hospital. Glad him and Mommy are doing well at home and adjusting to a cycle of no sleep.

She can pedal

Madison is learning to pedal her tricycle and was able to do it herself last week. This sounds like such a minor accomplishment but she is growing up. Most kids this age (1 month shy of 3) can pedal and steer but we are doing our best. Can't wait for her to be able to steer and ride her bike with training wheels. Here is to our princess pedaling forward. Backwards is always easier.

Cookies with Mema

Last weekend we went to Mema and Papa D's to help make Valentine cookies. Madison loves to cook and she remembered that I told her that we were going to Mema's to bake cookies and everyday she told me that she was going over there. It was too cute. Every morning she would ask me if she was going to Mema's. Well her day finally came and had a blast decorating the cookies. I am too sad that as we got home that evening they all fell out of the car and landed face down on the street. We will have to make more to eat before Valentine's Day.

bath time

Well tonight Carson went to bed and Madison wanted a snack so we indulged in some apples and peanut butter. Needless to say we needed a bath afterwards desperately, we had peanut butter everywhere. Here are some pics of our little sweetie taking her second bath of the day. I wish her brother could be in there with her splashing around, soon enough bubba. He has been asking to take a bath, sponge baths just don't cut it. Next week we will have a good time splashing again Carson, I promise!

Carson's surgery update

Well Wednesday morning Carson had surgery to repair his penis. His uretha was not long enough so they had to go in and realign his hole. That being said our house has not been pleasant the last two days. Carson is playing well but is in a lot of pain. His dressing and bandages fell off today and that has made things even worse because his little parts are now exposed. Poor bubba, think of us every hour or so as we change his diaper and realign his catheder and try desperately to not cause our little boy any pain.
