Chaffee Zoo adventure

We went to the zoo this weekend and what fun did we have. The kids enjoyed seeing all the animals. Carson would point to the animals and say "wow!!" It was too cute. We need to buy a family pass to the zoo, probably will next year so we can enjoy it all year long. Good opportunity to get out and learn about animals.

Another trip to the beach

We (Me and the kids, sorry Daddy was working joined Jennifer and her three kids and Tamara and her five kids) went to Pismo for a day trip on Saturday. We had so much fun and had sand in every nook and crevice of our bodies. We had fun building sand castles, watching the kids (10 total) play together digging holes and flying kites. It was such a wonderful trip and the weather was perfect. We had a good trip but are ready to stay home now and start relaxing.

She's a big girl!!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner tonight and as were were getting ready to go home here is a conversation I had with my little princess:

Me: Madison, get your shoes on, we are going home.
Madison: I want make bed and sleep here
Me: You are not coming to Grandma's tomorrow, you are going to Auntie Mel's house when Mommy goes to work.
Madison: I want to sleep at Auntie Mel's house. I go there now!
Me: You want to sleep at our house in your bed or with Emma and Lily????
Madison: I make a bed on the floor at Auntie Mel's.

So she is gone to Auntie Mel's. I am so sad and miss her but know she is getting big and LOVES spending time with her cousins. We haven't gotten a call yet so I am assuming all went well and she is asleep. My princess is getting too big.

Morro Bay

We took an impromptu trip to Morro Bay / Pismo Beach this weekend with Grandma and Grandpa. We were laying in bed watching the news Saturday morning and saw the forecast for Fresno (50) and the forecast for the coast (77) and decided to get out of the cold and go to the beach. That was the best idea we had. We walked around, went to the little aquarium, and played on the beach, and of course ate at Splash Cafe. The weekend was relaxing and we had a blast. We were glad Grandma and Grandpa got to come enjoy the weather with us. It was absolutely beautiful, when we left this afternoon it was 80 degrees. So sad we had to come home.

Shark Tent

Carson got a tent for his birthday to play with. We put it up one day in October and that has been the last time we have seen it. Wednesday morning as I was getting ready to go to work Madison asked if she could play in the shark tent. I told her when I got home from work I would set it up. Well you know how kid's memories are. You tell them one thing and they will remind you of it. As soon as I got home from work Madison asked if she could play in the shark tent so we put it up. The thing is so long, it takes up most of the living room but we had fun. We read books inside, closed it up and played hide and seek, and just crawled in and out. We had fun. Wish I had a place to keep it up but it had to come down at the end of the evening. Madison wanted to sleep in it and I told her in the summer she could, we would go camping in our backyard. Until then back in the closet it goes, until she remembers and asks again.

Fun in the Sun, oh wait there is no sun

Friday Madison was dying to go outside and play. I told her it was way too cold outside and we would have to wait.... Well she went into her room, put on her shoes, found a hat and gloves and asked again. How could I say no?? I sent Scott outside to help her drive her car or ride her bike. She chose to drive her car. She had so much fun. I wish the weather was nicer and we were home more so we could get outside more. Can't wait for spring. In the meantime we are driving our cars and riding our bikes in the house. I know it sounds crazy, but they are new gifts from Christmas so still are clean. Once the weather gets nicer they will be outside to stay.
