Christmas is over :(

Christmas is officially over. We had a wonderful Holiday Season, kids had a blast on Christmas Eve (Well maybe only Madi, Carson did not nap all day so was a grump). Took me an entire day to clean up the presents and put them away. If I never have to unwrap another toy we will be happy. They package them so difficult to open. Madison's favorite toys are her new digital camera, her new kitchen, shopping cart and a new tea set. Carson loves everything he got. Loves his tool bench, dance tower and big truck full of blocks. It was a Merry Christmas, we are starting to save for next year.

Matching!!

We have matching aprons. Thank you aunt sandy for sewing us matching aprons. We will use them often. madison loves her new apron and was especially fond when she saw that Mommy had one that was the same. I am sure we will make a lot of fun stuff together in the kitchen in our aprons. Maybe next year for Father's Day we will make ones for Daddy and Carson. Don't want them to feel left out.

Too Pretty

We got all dressed up to go to our Aunt Kristi and Aunt Jo's baby showers. We had so much fun visiting with all our family and friends. I look at this picture and I see a grown up little girl. Where did my baby girl go? She is becoming such a cute kid! I look forward to all the many big kid adventures ahead of us.

Christmas Cookies

Madison was so happy to be able to pick out and make cookies all by herself (without any messes) We bought the nestle ready to bake cookies and she put them on the cookie sheet all by herself. She was so proud of herself, it sure was cute. Mommy is enjoying her time with her kids a thome.

We're having another baby

It is official, I went to the doctor today and we have a due date. We are expecting our bundle of joy July 28, 2009. We weren't trying to have another but will gladly take what the lord has trusted us with. Carson will be 22 months and Madison will be 3 1/2. We are starting to get excited and accept that our family is growing once again.

Where has an entire year gone?

an entire year has passes and seems so fast. I thought I would post some pics from Uncle Greg's last year and again this year. My kids are growing so fast. Where did the year go?

Vacation has officially started.

I am officially on my three week vacation and am loving every minute of it. I get to be home with my two precious children that I love so much. Let's see what is on the to do list for this week:
  • Go See Santa
  • Bake Christmas Cookies
  • Wrap presents
  • spend time with family
  • Go to Color-me-mine to paint something for Mommy for Christmas

We have a lot to do and although we haven't gotten much done my kids are so happy to be home and to be able to play with their toys all day long. I am so grateful to be home but honestly I feel like all I do all day long is laundry and clean house. This is our fifth day home and I haven't felt like I can rest yet. Three weeks will go fast but I cherish these few weeks I have with my kids before I have to go back to work.

Daddy and Maddy

They sure love to spend time together. Madison is such a sweetie with her Daddy. Last week they wanted to watch a movie together so they put on their 3D glasses and watched Polar Express. They had a blast and now Madison wants to put on her glasses to watch ALL movies

Carson graduated

Carson had to go to his physical therapy appointment today and we are happy to say that he is finished with his therapy for his torticollis in his neck. I posted some pics of before and pics now. You can tell that his neck has straightened up quite well. He still has a tendency to lean towards his right side, but he looks straight most the time. He started therapy at six months and we are happy to be done. Mommy will continue to work with his to keep his neck stretched.

Christmas crafts

Madison and I had fun tonight making a Santa Claus. She did hers all by herself. She loves to be crafty. I wish we had more fun to create and play but reality is I have to work. Can't wait until next Friday (my last day at work before our three week vacation) I will be able to play and do fun Christmas activities with my little cuties.

more Disney fun

Sitting in Mickey's chair in his house.

We have finally spent some time in Toon town. It isn't really somewhere we spend too much time but we had to try to find Minnie. We found a little playground where Carson could play and not have to be held all day or sit in his stroller. He definately likes to get around. He loved to play in the pumpkin. Once he figured out how to get inside he was playing peekaboo with mommy saying "are you??" for where are you? It was cute. There was a pretend hose and it had the tiniest little leak, he had so much fun playing in the water.

Disneyland tradition

Madison's finished snowman

Daddy's tree

They really do have fun together. Daddy loves his little princess.

Our new Christmas tradition (well Scott and I have done it every year we go, so it isn't really new) is to frost the sugar cookies for the holiday season. Madison and Daddy both did cookies while Mommy took Carson to see Santa's reindeer. Christmas brings with it so much fun. We love this time of the year.

Disneyland maniacs

Both taking a much needed nap. It was nice that they both fell asleep at the same time because if not half of the day would be wasted napping.

Momma's two little hunny bees

Carson was actually driving the rockets. His first trip on the rockets and loved it.

She loved her ears, refused to buy any other hat. We tried to get her to buy a christmas hat because it was cold outside but only wanted the pink ears. She wanted to find Minnie to show her but we could not find her anywhere. Minnie where were you?

Daddy and his two Disney fans

We decided last minute to take a quick trip down to Disneyland on Saturday and come home Sunday. We had so much fun. We love all the christmas decorations and holiday cheer that Disneyland during the holidays brings. Carson was so adorable and so into everything. He loved going on the rides and looking at everything. Madison loved going on all the rides (ok, not all we only went on a few). Her favorite is definately Winnie the Pooh (went on it four times), but also enjoyed Autopia with Daddy, she would not let Daddy help her. She loved Nemo (actually grabbed onto the bars and was refusing to get out of the submarine), the rockets are always a favorite as well. The crowds were not bad. The longest line we waited in was about twenty minutes for Nemo. We love going to Disneyland, wish we could go more often.

Thanksgiving Day

cookie time
say cheese

We had a wonderful and crazy Thanksgiving, seemed it lasted an entire week. We had three Thanksgiving dinners (One at Mema and Papa D's on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, One at Aunt Melanie and Uncle Al's on Thankgiving evening, and one on the Saturday after at Aunt Sandy's and Uncle Scott's house.) These pictures were of the morning, we all went to Gaga and Papa's house to have breakfast with Auntie Lisa and Uncle Chris and the kids, and although the morning was a little hectic all the cousins had fun decorating the Christmas tree and playing with the christmas train.

Remembering Macy

We had to put our sweet little Macy down yesterday. She had a really bad infection in her throat that was too bad to try to fix. The vet thought that it was already affecting her kidneys. She never acted sick or in pain, once we realized she was in trouble it was too late. I will miss my sweet puppy. You were a good dog Macy! We will miss you.

Christmas is coming

We couldn't wait to put up our Christmas Tree. We put it up last night while Auntie Mel and the kids were here to help. Our challenge will be to keep Carson out of the tree and Madison from opening the presents. She keeps asking if she can open them and I am sad to tell her no. This year will be a good Christmas.

giddy up cowboy

Gotta love the boots our cousin Grant gave us. They don't quite fit us but we had to wear them anyways on Sunday. Our little cowboy loves to ride the rocking horse, we couldn't resist taking pics of him on the pony. Carson is such a fun loving boy and we are so blessed that he is in our lives. Thank you Lisa and Grant for the cute boots.

pudding paint

messy girl

Madison was watching Jon and Kate plus 8 with me a couple of weeks ago and they were doing pudding paint. Madison could not stop thinking or talking about it so we ventured out and tried it ourselves. Madison and Lily had so much fun painting and eating the paint. They were getting very creative. They were upset we had to throw the art away, don't need any ants. Carson was happy just to be able to eat the pudding and nilla wafers. Now every time we eat pudding we have to remember we are not painting. Madison has always enjoyed painting and getting crafty.

Park Day

We spent the afternoon at the park. The weather was hot (about 80) so we decided to have a fun day for Mommy's birthday. The kids had fun but were fading fast so we quickly left so we could have a nap. We had lunch, fed the ducks and played for about an hour on the swings and slides.

Ears update

Here is a picture showing off Madison's cute ears. She loves them and loves to take pictures of her ears. She is just so darn cute. I should have washed her face before snapping the picture, but she is adorable regardless.

Our Big girl

Madison has been asking for a long time to get her ears pierced and I have been wanting to do it but didn't want to subject her to the pain and tears. Today I decided to do it. We went to the mall with Aunt Kristi, Aunt Melissa, Aunt Stacey, and Mema. We took her to claires and she picked out her earings (purple, which happens to be her birthstone). She was such a big girl, did not act scared and believe it or not didn't even cry. She was such a big girl. Here is a picture, when I get my camera back we will post a new picture of her cute ears. She loves having her ears pierced and is loving showing off and showing everyone. I felt much better about subjecting her to the pain when she said it didn't hurt and didn't cry. I felt much better about that.

Halloween fun

We had a wonderful halloween. We had dinner at Auntie Mel's and went trick or treating (ok, maybe only about ten houses, but that was enough). We had surprise visitors from The Sacramento Slys and that was fun to see all the kids. Here is a picture of me and the kids before we went trick or treating. I will upload more pictures after I get my camera back from Aunt Mel's house. We love halloween and are already thinking about how to dress the kids next year. Lots of good ideas.

Bath fun

I look forward to giving my kiddos baths. They both love being in the tub. Carson crawls all over the place and doesn't seem to mind if his sister is in his way, he just plows over her to get whatever toy he sees and wants. It never fails Carson is screaming when it is time to get out, he would stay all day if I let him. Carson hates to get dressed, it interferes with his time playing, he often plays naked in his room until Sissy gets out of the bath and then they get dressed together. We haven't had any messes yet (knock on wood). I couldn't resist posting this cute shot of his bum bum.
