Love that all my kids love the beach.  They love to dig, run and just have fun.

What beach trip would be complete without digging holes.

What is a boy to do?

I love this picture.  My kids absolutely adore my Uncle Scott.  He is so loving and patient with all of my kids.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Marie Calendars.  They served a wonderful dinner with all the Thankgiving fixings.

We spent Thankgiving at the coast this year.  I know I needed a break from the usual family events.  I was missing my husband so thought that getting away for five nights would be great.  We went to Cayucos.  We had never been there so thought it would be a great opportunity to get away.  My Aunt Sandy, Uncle Scott and my Grandma Dorothy all went with us.  We rented a cute little beach house and tried to make the most of it all.  We would walk down to the beach to play, play board games, do some puzzles, and watch movies.  We spent a lot of time just relaxing, which was just what Mommy wanted and needed.  Thanksgiving Day I was feeling strong, we went to the park to play, spent time digging holes in the sand, and relaxing.  We decided to drive to Pismo Beach for dinner.  We went to Marie Calendars for dinner.  I was doing very well until they brought me my dinner.  All three of my children were wild and not listening and staying in their chairs, they were tired.  As soon as I saw the dinner I just cried.  It hit me, there was an empty chair at the table, that is where my husband should be sitting and eating dinner too.  How could I be just 32 years old and eating Thanksgiving Dinner without my husband.  How is this fair?  He went to Heaven so quickly, I wish we could of had more time together to enjoy our family.  Now I am forced into doing it all by myself.  My husband loved the beach more than any other place.  I dreamed of my husband every night we were there, which saddened me.  I don't want to forget him, but sometimes I don't want so many reminders.  I made the most of the dinner.  I think I choked down 2 bites of turkey.  Each of the kids probably ate just as much.  We survived our first real holiday without our Scotty.  I am proud of how good I did the entire trip.

Carsons first field trip

Pumpkin carving

It is always an adventure carving pumpkins.  We carved six pumpkins, maybe more in about an hour.  They turned out great.

Happy Halloween

We spent Halloween Night at Aunt Mel and Uncle Al's house.  We had pizza, then went around the block trick or treating.  We weren't out long, but definately long enough.  It was a good Halloween, we all enjoyed ourselves.

Spooktacular

We got tickets to Storyland Playland's Spooktacular.  It was fun to get all dressed up and be able to go play. There were so many people there that we didn't stay too long, but still had a wonderful time with family.
